From 17th November to 1st January 2022, Dream Cruises will be introducing the “Nordic Christmas Adventure” aboard World Dream, bringing guests to explore the festive traditions of Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland. Dream Cruises invited us for a preview event of the launch themed event.

‘Jolly Holly’ Christmas Production Show

A Christmas-themed production show perfect for the entire family featuring catchy tunes and familiar characters from the previous season’s “Verry Christmas” show, the 45-minute production surrounds a boy’s wish for his Christmas gifts to be brought to life.

The production showcases an array of performances, an incredible contortionist inside a beautiful water bowl, an elegant Ballroom Masquerade and the traditional elements from the Nutcracker ballet and IMFERA acrobats, our renowned dazzling performers of circus acts. The sprinkling of snow rounds off the vibe of celebration.

Dream Cruises also showed a preview of a headliner show LUMIERE by Comedian Txema that will be onboard this season.

The Entertainment team made significant improvements to the show's content, with a more apparent storyline, increased audience interaction and expanded array of performances from previous productions. If you are aboard World Dream during this season, you should not miss this theatrical showcase.

Nordic Art Lab

Dream Cruises will also be offering experiences to unique Nordic traditions and cultures with 4 different workshops - Build A Swedish Tomte, “Julehjerter” Danish Heart Weaving, Norway Northern Lights Scratch Art, and Nordic Christmas Ornament Making. We had the opportunity to try out the Christmas Ornament Making session during our time onboard. The workshop involved crafting a Scandinavian-style Christmas ornament with natural materials like twigs, leaves and pinecones with your own creative direction.

Dream Cruises shared that more crafting lessons may also be available. Do check with the ship’s team during your time onboard.

Nordic Market & More

We took a stop to the Lobby to check out the new Christmas decorations and the Lobby cafe with Nordic-inspired pastries on sale. A miniature Gingerbread town is a great photo spot for your family to mark your memories onboard.

Running through January 1st, 2022

Other themed activities are available at the Little Dreamers Academy at Sea for the children in the family, along with special Holiday Feast available around the ship’s specialty restaurants and a special menu at The Lido and Dream Dining Room Lower on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
