Spectrum of the Seas has just returned from her second set of Singapore-Japan cruises. And with unsated demand clearly still present (we are still getting messages asking about Singapore-Japan cruises), we’d thought it would be a great idea to put together a list of Singapore-to-Japan and Japan-to-Singapore cruises of similar lengths, being offered up by the various cruise lines, departing from late-2023 to 2025.

What To Expect For A Singapore-Japan Cruise

Before we jump into what itineraries are being dished out for the upcoming cruise season, here are a few things prospective travellers may want to take note of:

  • Cruise Length

A Singapore-to-Japan or Japan-to-Singapore Cruise can take around approximately two weeks. As an example, the itineraries offered by Royal Caribbean are 12-Nights long, or 13 days. Princess Cruises’ iteration is looking at 13 to 15 days, depending on the direction. Of course, two weeks is not a one-size-fits-all answer, as some cruise lines have itineraries going as long as 28 days, with lots of port stops in other countries as well.

For this list though, we will only take a look at voyages not exceeding 18 days in length.

  • Ports-of-Call

Hong Kong is a popular port-of-call on cruises sailing between Singapore and Japan.
PHOTO: ROYAL CARIBBEAN INTERNATIONAL

There will be other ports-of-call along the way! The ship is not beelining it to Japan from Singapore (or the other way round). Rather, guests will have the opportunity to visit other destinations (both in and outside Japan) before arriving at your disembarkation port.

Some popular ones include ports in countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and may even include overnight stays in select destinations, Do remember to check your itinerary’s destination countries - Apply for required Visas and exchange currencies as needed.

  • One-Way Trips

Most Singapore-Japan cruises are one-way, meaning the ship will not return to the port you boarded the ship at. You’ll have to fly home, either on your own, or booking a flight through the cruise line. Though, this does allow you to add a few days to your trip, which you can spend exploring the local area.
