Guests booked on Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas 31 January and February 3, 2022 sailing from Singapore will not be able to proceed for their Ocean Getaway cruise due to a “small amount of crew testing positive for COVID-19.”

In a letter to guests, Royal Caribbean shared that through routine testing and screening, they discovered that 0.6% of the total onboard population tested positive for COVID-19 on their 27 January 2022 sailing (the current voyage). This led to the decision to cancel the following two sailings.

Guests sailing on 31 January 2022 sailing will receive a full refund together with an additional 100% Future Cruise Credit, while guests on February 3 sailing have two options to select from:

Option 1: Automatically receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit

Royal Caribbean is providing a 125% to book a new cruise by 3 February 2023.

  • This amount is based on your total cruise fare, and we’re giving you a little extra knowing this is such a unique circumstance.

  • Your certificate can be used on any Royal Caribbean International sailing that departs on or before 3 February 2023.

  • We will automatically issue your FCC via email no later than 20 February 2022, so there’s nothing for you to do

  • Taxes & fees, and any RoyalUp upgrades will be automatically refunded. Current refund processing is around 30 days. We are working as quickly as possible, and we appreciate your patience.

  • If you are a Crown and Anchor Society member and book your reservations under the Double Points promotions, we’ll honour your Double Points on a future sailing when you select the 125% FCC option. This promotion will not be honoured if you choose the Refund option

Option 2: Select a 100% refund

If you prefer a full refund, which is a lower value than the future cruise credit offer above, we’re happy to process this for you. Given how fluid the situation is, and the opportunity to use the extra credit being offered, you have until 13 February 2022 to request a refund and deactivate your certificate.

  • Please contact us to restart the refund process, forfeiting the higher value of your 125% Future Cruise Credit.

  • We’ll then deactivate your Future Cruise Credit and process your refund to your original form of payment, which will include non-refundable deposits.

Guests with additional questions can dial +65 6305 0033 for assistance.

Singapore Cruise Society understands that only certain F&B establishments are closed for the current cruise, with crew either donning N95 masks, or face shields as Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

Guests were seen asking the Guest Services about the latest COVID-19 situation onboard after reading about the upcoming cancellations.

Quantum of the Seas is scheduled to return back to Singapore tomorrow on Monday after her current 4-Night Ocean Getaway cruise.

The Singapore Cruise Society wishes all affected by the coronavirus a speedy recovery.
