This initiative is part of the Sea Crew Programme Initiative (SeaVax), which will allow crew members who stay for more than 30 days on vessels that are:

  • Under repair in shipyards

  • Docked at a marina

  • Fishing vessels

  • Ship supply vessels

  • Regional ferries

  • Homeported cruise ships

Similar to the vaccines offered ashore, they will be offered the Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty or the Moderna vaccines. Companies or individuals should be prepared to pay for the vaccination services.

Royal Caribbean International, which begun its vaccination process on Monday (30th August 2021) onboard Quantum of the Seas, will inoculate its crew through 4 separate dates when the vessel is alongside at berth. Vaccinations will be held in the Two70 lounge, conducted by shoreside medical professionals. They expect all crew aboard the ship to be fully vaccinated by early October.

Dream Cruises World Dream is also expected to start the vaccination process soon, with the first batch of the crew being inoculated on 1st September 2021.

Cruise ships operating out of Singapore did not require either their crew or guests to be vaccinated when they initially resumed operating out of Singapore.

This change however, comes after the announcement that 80% of Singapore Residents have been fully vaccinated, making it the most vaccinated country in the world.
