Resorts World Cruises — Asia’s home-grown dynamic lifestyle cruise brand will be setting sail from Jakarta, Indonesia in June 2024! The cruise line has announced a month-long season in the Indonesian capital, sailing from the port of Tanjong Priok. Resorts World Cruises will also be the first-ever cruise line to homeport in Indonesia.

The Itinerary & Ship

Resorts World Cruises’ Jakarta season will see the Resorts World One (formerly SuperStar Virgo / Explorer Dream) sail from Tanjong Priok from 16 June 2024 to 1 July 2024. On offer are Round-Trip 6D5N Singapore and Kuala Lumpur Cruises, stopping in Singapore and Port Klang, Malaysia (for Kuala Lumpur) — both of which are top holiday destinations for travellers from Indonesia.

Our thoughts? This itinerary combines both favourite destinations into one vacation. A convenient way to see both cities, without the need to unpack and pack multiple times. Guests will also have ample sea days to relax and explore the ship itself. Guests are also able to enjoy a variety of Muslim-friendly cuisine, including authentic and popular Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine on shore, as well as a spread of international selections during the days at sea.

And according to the Press Release sent by Resorts World Cruises, prices for these cruises will start from IDR 10 Million (based on twin-sharing), or approximately SGD 861. Cruise fares are also inclusive of complimentary dining at selected onboard venues with Muslim-friendly cuisines and offerings, as well as free access to LIVE international stage shows and entertainment, as well as usage of recreational activities.

Indonesians are no-doubt familiar with the Resorts World Cruises brand, as they make up a sizeable portion of the guest count aboard cruises already sailing from Singapore. As such, it’s a no-brainer to take the Resorts World Cruises brand to their home country, cutting out the need for expensive flights to Singapore or other home ports.

“As an international cruise line that is homegrown in Asia, Resorts World Cruises is excited and proud to pioneer the first-ever homeport deployment in Indonesia. Indonesians are familiar with the Resorts World Cruises brand sailing out of Singapore and now they can sail with a round-trip cruise from Jakarta to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur on the Resorts World One,” said Mr. Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises.

Mr. Goh also expressed his thanks to the Indonesian government, authorities and travel partners for their support in making the Jakarta homeport a reality.
